Microsoft Certified Database Administrator

The Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) is the premier credential to demonstrate that you have the skills necessary to lead organizations in the successful design, implementation, and administration of Microsoft SQL Server databases. MCDBA, on Microsoft SQL Server 2000, candidates need to pass three core exams and one elective exam that provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise in the implementation and administration of SQL Server databases. The Windows 2000 exams and the Windows XP/Windows Server System exams for the MCDBA on Microsoft SQL Server 2000 certification are expected to remain available concurrently.

  • Describe how to replicate data from one SQL Server to another

Microsoft Certified Database Administrators (MCDBA) on Microsoft SQL Server 2000 receive the following benefits:

Prerequisites

 

Course Duration

 

Before attending this course, students must have:

  • Experience using the Microsoft Windows® 2000 operating system to:

  • Connect clients running Windows 2000 to networks and the Internet.

  • Configure the Windows 2000 environment.

  • Create and manage user accounts.

  • Manage access to resources by using groups.

  • Configure and manage disks and partitions, including disk striping and mirroring.

  • Manage data by using NTFS.

  • Implement Windows 2000 security.

  • Optimize performance in Windows 2000.

 

The MCDBA Certification requires students to successfully complete 3 Core exams and 1 elective exam. Each course will approximately take 40 hours to complete. The total duration to complete the certification will be 160 hours. Students can choose the bootcamp method to complete training in 1 week for each course or choose a more flexible schedule of 8 hours per week and complete the certification in approximately 6 months.
