Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer credential is the Premier certification for professionals who design and implement the infrastructure for business solutions based on Microsoft Windows. ABCO Technology offers the MCSE on Windows 2000 and MCSE on WIndows 2003 Server Operating System. The continual study of new technologies is necessary to keep computer skills current. ABCO has a complete track setup that will prepare students for the MCSE Certification. MCSE track trains and prepares students to install, configure and administer a Windows Network.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • Install Windows Server and Professional, Understand the Upgrade Process From Windows 9x, NT and Windows 2000 and Prepare Unattended and Image Installations.

  • Configure Services like Active Directory, DNS and DHCP, IIS, Terminal Services, RAS, VPN, E-mail, Setup Monitoring and Management services and configure network Printing.

  • Create and manage Users and Groups with Active Directory.

  • Setup ,Configure and Manage Network Security.

  • Setup and Manage multiple domains.

  • Setup, Manage and Configure E-Mail Services.

  • Use Distributed File System, set and manage disk quotas, Create and manage users home folders, configure offline files, and encrypt files and folders.

  • Define Windows Fault Tolerance Features using Windows Backup Utility and create Mirrored and RAID-5 Volumes.

Upon Completion of all seven modules and exams, students will obtain the following certifications from Microsoft:

  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)

These certifications will make them eligable to work in the industry of Information Technology for the following positions:

  • Systems Administrator

  • LAN Administrator

  • Systems Engineer

  • Desktop Support

  • Systems Analysts

  • Network Analysts

  • Network Support Technician

 

Prerequisites

 

Course Duration

 
  • Proficiency using Windows Interface to locate, create and manipulate files and folders, and to configure desktop enviornment. General knowledge of computer hardware components, including network operatiing systems, server-client relationship and Local Area Network.

    For Better grasp of MCSE course ABCO Technology recommends students to take following courses before signing up for MCSE certification:

    • Comptia A+ Certification

    • CompTia Network+ Certification

 

 

The course duration for Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer is 160 Hours. Lectures are held twice per week. Students are advised to spend some time in the lab practising and updating their knowledge and skills.
Instructors and Lab Assistants are always available to assist students with their practise.
