Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (Windows 2003)

The MCSE 2003 certification is a premium certification offered by Microsoft for System Administrators and Engineers. ABCO Technology offers the following courses for students to obtain and complete the MCSE 2003 certification exams. Although, there are many courses to choose from, but after careful analysis and industry requirements, ABCO has selected the following courses for students to obtain the MCSE 2003 certification. For more information on other courses, students can visit the Microsoft Website and select other courses as an alternate route to the MCSE 2003 certification. Students will have to complete 6 core exams and 1elective exam

Course Objectives

Course Benefits

 

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • Create and populate organizational units with user and computer accounts.

  • Manage user and computer accounts.

  • Manage access to resources.

  • Implementing printing.

  • Manage the user, computer environment by using Group Policy.

  • Configure routing and remote access service.

  • Allocate IP addressing by using DHCP.

  • Manage and monitor DHCP.

  • Resolve host names by using DNS.

  • Resolve network basic input / output system (Net BIOS) names by using WINS.

  • Secure network traffic by using IPsec and certificates.

  • Manage and monitor network access.

Upon Completion of all seven modules and exams, students will obtain the following certifications from Microsoft:

  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) on Windows 2003.

These certifications will make them eligable to work in the industry of Information Technology for the following positions:

  • Systems Administrator

  • LAN Administrator

  • Systems Engineer

  • Desktop Support

  • Systems Analysts

  • Network Analysts

  • Network Support Technician

 

Prerequisites

 

Course Duration

 

Proficiency using Windows Interface to locate, create and manipulate files and folders, and to configure desktop enviornment. General knowledge of computer hardware components, including network operatiing systems, server-client relationship and Local Area Network.

For Better grasp of MCSE course ABCO Technology recommends students to take following courses before signing up for MCSE certification:

  • Comptia A+ Certification

  • CompTia Network+ Certification

 

 

The course duration for Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer is 284 Hours. Lectures are held twice per week. Students are advised to spend some time in the lab practising and updating their knowledge and skills.
Instructors and Lab Assistants are always available to assist students with their practise
