Oracle Database 10g Upgrade from Oracle 9i

For Oracle professionals currently holding Oracle 9i certifications ABCO Technology has designed an upgrade path. Upgrade your skills now to support the newest capabilities and advances in the Oracle Database 10g database. Knowing how to get the most out of the new features, which allow databases to increase in scale, offer higher security and greater reliability, will ensure you are at the forefront of the Oracle Profession .

The following outlines the upgrade paths for Oracle 9i Database Administrators. Administrators on 9i should have the following credentials before appearing for the Oracle 10g New Features Exam.

Upon course completion students will be able to comprehend and use the following skills obtained while training at ABCO:

  • Implement improved manageability features to simplify database management

  • Utilize database advisors to provide proactive database monitoring

  • Increase data availability through Oracle Database 10g features that offer improved point in time recovery

  • Assist developers using Oracle Database 10g features in their applications

 

Students completing this upgrade track will be able to update their resume and skills with the new industry released Oracle 10g Database Administrator credential. Students that have their Oracle 9i Database credentials do not have to go through passing all 3 exams for Oracle 10g. Based upon their 9i Database Administrator Certificate they only need to Pass 1 Exam to upgrade their certification.

These credentials will allow students to apply for the following positions in the Information Technology industry:

  • Database Administrator

  • Applications DBA

  • Associate Consultant

  • Technical Consultant

  • Java/Portal Expert

  • DBA Developer

  • Oracle Applications Functional Analyst

  • PL/SQL Developer

  • Project Manager - Oracle Applications

  • Technical Architect

 
 

Prerequisites

  

Course Duration

 

Students enrolling for this upgrade certification are required to have prior experience with the Oracle 9i Database.

Students must have the following Certification before appearing for this course:

  • Oracle 9i Database Administrator

 

This course is completed in 40 hours of practical hands-on training and lecture sessions.

This course can be completed in our 4 hour sessions held twice per week held in subsequent sessions of Morning , Afternoon, Evening and Weekend Class Schedules.

You also have an option of taking our 1 week accelerated program which is held and conducted in a week's period of time between Monday - Friday from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Students must Pass the following Oracle Certifications in order to upgrade their Oracle 9i Certified Database Administrator credential to Oracle 10g Database Administrator:
